Solstice in Seattle

Every winter in Seattle we face a long, dark road back to spring. Average daylight in Seattle is 8 hours and 29 minutes per day, the Solstice bottoms out at 8 hours and 25 minutes. On top of that, only 3 days of the month will have clear skies (which really means a maximum of 30% cloud cover) while 17 days will have precipitation of some form.
