Have been on the creatine monohydrate for about two weeks now. I have made real gains in all my lifts and , in fact, gained three pounds in the first four days WHILE eating below my caloric maintenance level. This is because as numerous of studies have shown that creatine monohydrate will pump water into your muscle cells which will lead to lean mass gains. No bloating and no cramping. I decided to load at 15g for the first four days and maintaing after that at 5g per day. My bench press, for example, has gone up from 255x5 to 265 today. A good creatine monohydrate product along with a good whey protein should be the first itmes on your list. This will do the trick and its dirt cheap, about $23 for about a 6 month supply. If your going natyural you should pretty much buy this.
